Microchipping

Every year, thousands of pets go missing. The best defense against losing your pet forever is making sure that your pet can be identified by others. Mircochipping is a process of implanting a microchip approximately the size of a grain of rice between your pet’s shoulder blades.

Harmless and relatively painless, with an application much like a vaccination, the microchip has a unique number that is registered exclusively to your pet. Most vet offices and local humane societies have scanners that can read the information to identify your pet if he or she ever becomes lost.

Remember, in order for the microchip identification process to work correctly, your pet’s microchip must be registered and up-to-date with your current contact information and address.
